A clear, blue sky seen in autumn. This type of weather occurs the day after a typhoon passes or when the area is covered by a mobile high pressure system. One of Japan's weather special days (→Special Days) is the clear autumn sky on November 3rd. On this day, the mobile high pressure system often brings good weather across the country. The clear autumn sky is due to weak convection, which prevents dust from rising to high altitudes, and the dust is washed away by rain.
