Hirajiro Castle was located in Notori , Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It was built on the site of the Akizuki clan's mansion, which was located at the foot of Koshoyama Castle during the Middle Ages and the Warring States period. It was the administrative center of the Akizuki clan, a branch of the Fukuoka clan, and was the residence of the Kuroda clan. It had a straight moat and stone walls, and five double and flat towers were built in a row, but after it was abandoned and sold off during the Meiji period, the site is now home to Suiyo Shrine, dedicated to Kuroda Nagaoki, and features a small stone wall and a restored Nagayamon gate and Kuromon gate. In 1980 ( Showa 55 ), it was designated a prefectural historic site. Take a 20-minute bus bound for Akizuki from Amagi Station on the Amagi Railway, get off at the Local Museum entrance, and it is a 5-minute walk from there. ◇It is also called Akizuki Jinya.
