…It was first presented to Hasan Ali Shah, who succeeded his father Shah Khalil Allah as the Nizarite Imam in 1817, when he married the daughter of Fath Ali Shah of the Qajar dynasty in 1818 and was appointed governor of Mahrat and Qom. He is usually called Aga Khan I (1800-81). After failing in his revolt in Kerman under Muhammad Shah in 1838, Hasan fled to Sindh in 1840 via Afghanistan. …
