Red-mouthed - Shakku

One of the Rokuyo (six days of the week). Also called Shakuzetsu-nichi, in Onmyodo it is said that Shakuzetsu-nichi (a very evil and wrathful god) plagues all living beings, is considered to be a bad omen for everything, and is a day when no new things should be started. The 6th, 12th, 18th, 24th, and 30th days of January and July in the lunar calendar; the 5th, 11th, 17th, 23rd, and 29th days of February and August; the 4th, 10th, 16th, 22nd, and 28th days of March and September; the 3rd, 9th, 15th, 21st, and 27th days of April and October; the 2nd, 8th, 14th, 20th, and 26th days of May and November; and the 1st, 7th, 13th, 19th, and 25th days of June and December.

六曜日の一つ。赤舌日(しゃくぜつにち)ともいい、陰陽道(おんみょうどう)で、赤舌神（極悪・忿怒(ふんぬ)の神）が衆生を悩まし、万事に凶とされ、新しく事を始めるべきでないという日。旧暦1月・7月の6・12・18・24・30日。2月・8月の5・11・17・23・29日。3月・9月の4・10・16・22・28日。4月・10月の3・9・15・21・27日。5月・11月の2・8・14・20・26日。6月・12月の1・7・13・19・25日。
