Izumiya was also the manager of the powerful Besshi copper mine at the time, and the rough copper designated for public trade was called Kanpindo (high-quality copper), and was widely used for casting coins in Korea, weapons, copperware, Buddhist altar implements, etc. After the export of silver was cut off, Tsushima Domain focused on copper exports in its trade management, and sometimes attempted to reimport gold and silver by being allowed to increase the fixed amount. …
