She was recognized by director Arnold Fanck and starred in mountain films (The Holy Mountain, 1925, The Silver Ridge, 1929, Dance of the Silver Ridge, 1931, etc.), and with the cooperation of Hungarian-born screenwriter and theorist Béla Balázs, she directed and starred in Blue Light (1932), based on a mountain legend in the Dolomiti region of Italy.
