The highest official position in Korea and Silla. Also called Sangshin. Unlike other positions, it did not have an affiliated government agency, and there were no written regulations for the rank it was assigned to, so it is unclear. In addition, one Sangdaedeung was appointed per king, and in principle, he would move forward and backward with the king. According to the "Samguk Sagi," it was established in 531 and continued to exist until the fall of Silla. However, it is highly likely that its prototype had already taken shape by the end of the 5th century. The Sangdaedeung was none other than the head of the high-ranking aristocratic class called the Daedeung, and was established to control and represent the Daedeung class under the king. 朝鮮,新羅の最高官職。上臣とも称される。他の官職と異なり所属官庁を持たず,相当官位の規定も明文がなく不明である。また1王代に1人の上大等が任命され,王と進退をともにするのが原則であった。《三国史記》によればその創設は531年であり,以後新羅滅亡まで存続した。しかし5世紀末には,すでにその原型が形づくられていた可能性が大きい。上大等は大等とよばれる高級貴族階層の首席にほかならず,王のもとで大等階層を統制しかつ代表するものとして設置された。
