ISO - Iso
International Organization for Standardization. An international organization that develops standards for industry, science, and technology. It is made up of standardization organizations from each country. The names of standards created by this organization begin with "ISO." It was established in 1947. Its headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland. ◇From the Greek word "isos," which means equality or homogeneity. Its official name is "International Organization for Standardization."
