Chemical formula: NaClO 4 . In industry, it is produced by anodic oxidation of a concentrated aqueous solution of sodium chlorate (NaClO 3 ) , or by melting and decomposing sodium chlorate, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid to extract (the by-product NaCl is difficult to dissolve), and then removing the hydrochloric acid. 4NaClO 3 -> 3NaClO 4 + NaCl In the laboratory, an aqueous solution of perchloric acid is neutralized with sodium carbonate, the neutral solution is evaporated, and the solution is precipitated as monohydrate (NaClO 4 ・H 2 O) (below 50°C) or anhydrate (above 50°C) (the transition temperature between the two is 52.75°C).
