Records of the Muromachi Shogunate. Three volumes. Also called "Samurai Diary," "Muromachi Record," and "Muromachi Sandai-ki." The title comes from the fact that it is a record of the three generations of the Hanaei (Flower Palace = Muromachi Shogunate) (Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, Yoshimochi, and Yoshikazu). This is a combination of two books that were originally written separately. The first half contains articles on Shogunate decrees and councils from 1367 (Shohei 22, Joji 6) to 1381 (Kouwa 1, Eitoku 1), and the second half contains the diary of Ise Sadahisa (later Bingo no Kami Sadahira), a member of the Ontomoshu (attendant of the army), from 1421 to 1425. Included in Gunsho Ruiju (Miscellaneous section). [Kouen Kuwayama] Source: Shogakukan Encyclopedia Nipponica About Encyclopedia Nipponica Information | Legend |
