Yukiko Todoroki
1917-1967 A film actress from the Showa era.
Born September 11, 1917. Joined Nikkatsu from the Takarazuka Shojo Revue in 1937, debuting as Otsu in "Miyamoto Musashi." She was the first successful actress to come from Takarazuka, and became a popular star at Nikkatsu. After the war, she worked as a freelancer. Died May 11, 1967, aged 49. Born in Tokyo. Dropped out of Kyoto Prefectural Second Girls' High School. Her real name was Nishiyama Tsuruko. Her appearances include "Infinite Advance" and "Gate of Flesh."

大正6年9月11日生まれ。宝塚少女歌劇団から昭和12年日活にはいり,「宮本武蔵」のお通役でデビュー。宝塚出身として成功した最初の女優で,日活の人気スターとなった。戦後はフリーで活躍。昭和42年5月11日死去。49歳。東京出身。京都府立第二高女中退。本名は西山都留子(つるこ)。出演作品に「限りなき前進」「肉体の門」など。
