…A family of 15th-century Venetian painters. They consisted of Antonio Vivarini (c. 1415-76 or 84), his brother Bartolomeo V. (c. 1432-91), and Antonio's son Alvise V. (c. 1446-1503 or 05). Antonio worked with the German painter Giovanni d'Alemagna to produce The Coronation of the Virgin (1444, San Pantaleone, Venice), a mixture of Gothic, Byzantine, and Renaissance styles. …
