...Of the male gods, Odin and Thor are particularly prominent, but other gods include Balder, Njörðr (god of wind, sea, fire, and fertility), Freyr (god of fertility and peace), Týr (god of warriors), Bragi (god of eloquence and poetry), Heimdall, Hoðr (blind god who shoots Balder with mistletoe), Báli (who kills Hoðr), Beðar (who defeats the wolf and avenges Odin), Ullr (a master archer), Forseti (god of reconciliation), and Loki. Of these, Njörðr and Freyr, as well as the goddess Freyja, who will be mentioned later, originally belonged to the Banir tribe, but are counted among the Æsir.
