For some types of equations or simultaneous equations, there are formulas that give their solutions, and such formulas are called solution formulas. Some of these formulas relate to some types of differential equations. Cramer's rule for simultaneous linear equations is also an example of a solution formula. The other important case is the case of algebraic equations, which we will discuss below. In this case, it is also called the root formula. (a) The root of the quadratic equation aX 2 + bX + c = 0 ( a ≠ 0) is D = b 2 - 4 ac , which is called the discriminant. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
(a)二次方程式aX2+bX+c=0(a≠0)の根は,D=b2-4acを判別式discriminantという。
