Trendelenburg's sign (English)

...In infancy, symptoms include limited hip movement on the dislocated hip joint, the femoral head touching the outside, a short affected leg, and asymmetric thigh creases. After starting to walk, the Trendelenburg's sign occurs, in which the healthy side pelvis drops when standing on the affected leg, and the upper body leans toward the affected side when walking, resulting in lameness.
[Treatment]
In infancy, the standard treatment is to use a brace called a Riemenbügel (German for "leather stirrup"), which suspends the legs from the shoulders in a flexed position.
