Lethrinidae

...They are served as sashimi, grilled with salt, simmered, or deep-fried. Four genera and 26 species of the Lethrinidae family have been reported from Japan, all of which live mainly in rocky reefs south of southern Japan. Some of these species are poisonous, so care must be taken.
