lift-off

Japanese: lift-off(英語表記)liftoff
lift-off

...This method allows for more precise micromachining than the etching method, but its applications are limited because the material is a metal that can be plated and the thickness limit is a few tens of micrometers.
[Lift-off]
The lift-off method is a method in which after forming a photoresist pattern, a thin film is formed over the entire surface, and then the resist pattern is removed, leaving a film only in the areas where there was no resist. Because it is suitable for forming high-precision patterns on thin films such as evaporated films, it is often used in the field of microlithography, such as in the manufacturing process of integrated circuits.
