…The consonant text of the Bible dates back to the 1st century, and the pronunciation of vowels and accents was finally established by the beginning of the 10th century. However, there is a certain degree of difference in vocabulary and style, and the later documents, along with the Qumran documents, are closer to the next Mishnaic Hebrew. As can be seen from this later Biblical Hebrew, Hebrew did not immediately become dead after the second captivity in the 6th century BCE, but gradually transitioned to Mishnaic Hebrew under the strong influence of Imperial Aramaic, which developed from the aforementioned Old Aramaic and was the common language of the Middle East at that time, and is represented by the language of Jewish documents (Mishnah, Midrash, etc.) compiled around 200 CE. …

…聖書の子音本文は1世紀ころ，母音･アクセント等の発音は最終的には10世紀初頭ころまでに確定されたものである。　しかし語彙や文体の面ではある程度の時代差が認められ，後期の文書はクムラン文書とともに，その言語は次期のミシュナ･ヘブライ語Mishnaic Hebrewに近い。この後期の聖書ヘブライ語からもうかがえるように，ヘブライ語は前6世紀の第2回捕囚後ただちに死語化したのではなく，上述の古アラム語から発達して当時の中東地域の共通言語となっていた帝国アラム語の影響をしだいに強く受けながら，ミシュナ･ヘブライ語に移行したのであって，200年ころに編集されたユダヤ教文書(ミシュナ，ミドラシュなど)の言語がその代表である。…
