…the Middle Paleolithic culture, whose reference site is the Moustier rock shelter in the Dordogne region of France. The oldest known examples are from the Lys glacial period, but it is generally believed to have flourished from the end of the Lys-Würm interglacial period to the first half of the Würm interglacial period.
