Nipponosaurus

...After the American team (three times), Soviet and Polish teams continued to excavate, and now it is an important dinosaur production area along with the Xinjiang Uygur region of China. In 1934, Nipponosaurus , a Japanese duckbill dinosaur, was discovered in southern Sakhalin and described by Nagao Takumi. In 1962, the humerus of a duckbill dinosaur was reported to have been found in a sandstone layer 917 meters underground in the Futago shaft of the Mitsubishi Takashima Mine in Takashima-cho, Nishisonogi-gun, Nagasaki Prefecture.
