…A tragic giant ship that collided with an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage. Together with its sister ship Olympic (45,324 gross tonnage), it was the first to exceed 40,000 tons. It was 269m long, 28m wide, had a gross tonnage of 46,439 tons, had three propellers, and could reach a speed of 21 knots.
