Coal used as general fuel. In the past, it was widely used in homes as fuel for boilers and stoves, and most of it was consumed for electricity and cement manufacturing, but as the energy revolution progressed, it was replaced by oil and gas. However, after the oil crisis, coal was reconsidered as a cheap and abundant fuel under the policy to move away from oil, and demand has been increasing. Domestic coal production is mainly steam coal, at about 7.87 million tons. Of the total import volume of about 104.84 million tons, about 40% is steam coal.
