In the second half of the 19th century, Poland's first symphonic poem Zygmunt Noskowski (1846-1909), who wrote "On the Steppes" (1897), the composer and educator Władysław Żeleński (1837-1921), the song and piano composer Eugeniusz Pankiewicz (1857-98), and the famous violinist Bieniawski appeared.
