Panjnad (English spelling)

...It originates in the Kailash Range in the southwest of the Tibetan Plateau, flows northwest, crosses the Kashmir region, then turns southwest at the northwestern end of the Himalayas, forms a deep transverse valley, and flows down to the northwestern frontier of Pakistan. It then enters the Punjab region and joins the Panjnād River, which is a combination of the five rivers that gave the region its name (Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, and Beas from the west). After joining the Panjnād River, it flows through the western edge of the Thar Desert in the Sindh region (derived from Sindhu, which corresponds to the Indus in Sanskrit), so there are no recharge rivers flowing into it, and it enters the Arabian Sea southeast of Karachi. ...
