A manor established in Musashi Province, stretching from Tama District to Tsuzuki District. The site is currently Kami Oyamada-cho and Shimo Oyamada-cho in Machida City, Tokyo, and the area including these places was the manor. Later it was called Oyamada Yasu. At the end of the Heian period, Chichibu Shigehiro's son Ariyoshi called himself Oyamada betto and is thought to have been the manor official of this manor. The Oyamada clan, descended from the Chichibu clan, fell into decline after the rebellion of their relative Hatakeyama Shigetada. In 1364, Kanto Kanrei Uesugi Noriharu ordered Kaji Sanenori to hand over half of Kurokawa-go (present-day Asao Ward, Kawasaki City) within the Oyamada manor to Oninin no Tsubone, and in 1367 Oninin no Tsubone donated half of Kurokawa-go to Obai-in Temple of Engaku-ji Temple in Kamakura. In 1404, the Kamakura government stopped demanding the construction of Rokusho Shrine (present-day Okunitama Shrine in Fuchu City) in Oyamadaho Yamazakigo (present-day Machida City) and half of Kurokawago in the same province, which were part of the Obaiin territory. In 1422, Kamakura kubo Ashikaga Mochiuji donated Imai Village in Yamazakigo to the main shrine of Oyama-ji Temple in Sagami (present-day Oyama Afuri Shrine in Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture). Other districts included in the manor (ho) were Shimoyabego (present-day Machida City) and Tsurumago (present-day Machida City, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Yamato City). The Oyamada clan, which relied on this manor from the Nanboku-cho period onwards, were a branch of the Kanto Kanrei Uesugi clan. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
