Platycephalus indicus (English spelling)

The flathead Platycephalus indicus (illustration) is widely distributed in the Pacific and Indian Oceans south of central Japan, and lives in sandy and muddy areas about 200 meters deep from the coast. Its body is thin from top to bottom, and its head is large and covered with bony plates, with spiny protrusions.
