Jack the Ripper

The perpetrator of a series of murders that took place in London in 1888. Prostitutes were killed one after another, and their bodies were brutally chopped up. Afterwards, letters bearing the name "Jack the Ripper" were sent to news agencies, hence the name. The case went unsolved, and became a popular subject for crime researchers and mystery novelists.
