Polypharmacy

... Myanmar has a national examination system for traditional medicine, and training institutions have been established. Burmese herbal medicines include more than 300 items, including prescriptions that use gold and gemstones and prescriptions that combine as many as 100 different ingredients (polypharmacy), reminiscent of Galen's preparations from the Roman period. There are also Indian herbal medicines for Indians and Indo-Burmese people.
