Port Sunlight

...Industrialists soon began to plan new towns that integrated factories and housing for employees. Representative examples in the UK include Saltaire, founded in Yorkshire in 1850; Bournville, built in 1879 by chocolate factory owner G. Cadbury; and Port Sunlight, built in 1888 by soap factory owner Lever. Other examples include the town of Pullman (1880), built by sleeping car manufacturer GM Pullman, and the Krupp Colony (1905), built by the steel company Krupp, in Germany.
