rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis

Japanese: rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis(英語表記)rapidlyprogressiveglomerulonephritis
rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis

...The cure rate is said to be over 90% for children and 60-75% for adults, and in many cases recovery takes place in a relatively short time, but even after six months or more, proteinuria and hematuria may persist, progressing to chronic nephritis, and in rare cases, death may occur in the acute phase due to heart failure or acute renal failure. In addition to the above-mentioned streptococcal infections and other infections, acute glomerulonephritis also includes rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN), which develops suddenly due to various causes and leads to severe renal failure within a few weeks to a few months.
[Chronic glomerulonephritis]
Also known as chronic nephritis, it is a general term for glomerulonephritis that progresses chronically, excluding acute glomerulonephritis.
