Bank Fund Management Order

...The Temporary Fund Adjustment Law, promulgated in September 1937, forced banks to focus on lending to industries in need of urgent support. Then, based on the Banks and Other Funds Management Order, promulgated in October 1940, the government implemented a compulsory lending system for banks and expanded the scope of mandatory lending. In February 1942, after the start of the Pacific War, the Bank of Japan Law was revised based on the model of the Reichsbank of Nazi Germany, and the Bank of Japan was obligated to fully cooperate with national objectives.
