...The king overthrew the Satavahana dynasty and extended his power to Ujjain. Chashtana's grandson, King Rudradāman, is widely known for his large-scale flood control and irrigation projects, and his achievements are recorded in a long series of Sanskrit inscriptions. This lineage continued until it was destroyed by the Gupta dynasty at the end of the 4th century.
