A Christian religious movement of the 1920s and 1930s that later developed into the Moral Rearmament Movement. It was also known as Buchmanism. It was founded by Frank Buchman (1878-1961), an American Lutheran pastor. He attended the Keswick Convention in England during the 1920s and 1930s, when he was in a state of religious decline. There he received a spiritual awakening and preached to students at universities in the United States, Cambridge, and Oxford in England, gathering a considerable number of followers who then preached in other countries.
