Siddhanta-śiromaṇi (English)

…Born in Bijapur, now part of the Mysore region, he completed a tetralogy of mathematics and astronomy collectively known as the Siddhānta-śiromaṇi at the age of 36. The two works, Lilāvatī and Bijagaṇita, deal with the two major branches of Indian mathematics: pāṭīgaṇita (mathematics using only known numbers) and bijagaṇita (mathematics using unknown numbers), respectively.
