Star of Bethlehem

...The appearance of a star, as an expression of God's will, is naturally also a sign of important events. The Star of Bethlehem appeared in the sky at the time of the birth of Christ and guided the three wise men to Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1-10). However, not all appearances of stars are good omens, and the appearance of stars, especially shooting stars, was often considered to be bad omens.
