Oguni Shrine - Okuni Shrine

Located in Ichinomiya, Morimachi, Shuchi County, Shizuoka Prefecture. The deity enshrined is Oonamuchi-no-Mikoto. In 555 (16th year of Emperor Kinmei's reign), the shrine received a miraculous power, was heard by heaven, and a shrine was enshrined on Mount Hongu. In 701 (1st year of the Taiho era) during the reign of Emperor Mommu, an imperial envoy was sent to move the shrine to its current location and to pass on the Twelve Stage Bugaku. The article on the investiture of the shrine's divine ranks appears several times in the Six National Histories, and in 874 (16th year of the Jogan era), the shrine was awarded the rank of Junior Fourth Rank. It is a shrine listed in the Shikinaisha (Engineering Statutes). Ichinomiya, Totomi Province. During the Edo period, the shogunate donated 590 koku of red seal land. In 1873 (6th year of the Meiji era), the shrine was ranked as a minor national shrine. The annual festival is held on April 18th. The twelve-stage Bugaku dance is dedicated to the shrine on the Saturday and Sunday closest to the annual festival. Bugaku is a unique form of art and has been designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the government. The iris garden on the shrine grounds is also crowded with many worshippers during the flowering season.

静岡県周智(しゅうち)郡森町一宮(いちみや)に鎮座。祭神は大己貴命(おおなむちのみこと)。555年（欽明天皇16）に霊験(れいげん)あって天聴に達し本宮山に一社を勧請(かんじょう)し、文武(もんむ)天皇の701年（大宝1）神託により勅使を差遣して現社地へ遷座のうえ、十二段舞楽を伝えたという。神階叙位の記事は六国史(りっこくし)に数度載せられており、874年（貞観16）には従(じゅ)四位上を授けられている。式内社。遠江(とおとうみ)国一宮(いちのみや)。江戸時代には将軍家より590石の朱印領の寄進があった。1873年（明治6）国幣小社に列格。例祭は4月18日。例祭にもっとも近い土・日曜日に十二段舞楽が奉納される。舞楽は独特の芸態があり、国の重要無形民俗文化財の指定を受けている。境内の菖蒲(しょうぶ)園も開花期は多数の参拝者でにぎわう。
