［Supercooling］
The phenomenon or state in which no phase transition (first order) occurs and the original phase (high temperature phase) remains even when the temperature drops below the transition temperature is called supercooling, and is the opposite of superheating. A liquid below the freezing point (supercooled liquid) is one example, and this can be achieved by keeping the liquid still and cooling it slowly.
