Superfortress

...Nicknamed Superfortress. A large long-range bomber developed by the Boeing Company for the US military. During the Pacific War, it took off from Chengdu, China on June 16, 1944, and was used to bomb the Yahata area of ​​Kitakyushu. It was then used as a base on Saipan and Tinian islands to bomb various Japanese cities until the end of the war, and to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
