C ₃₆ H ₅₄ O ₁₄ (710.82). Also known as k -strophanthin-β. A plant cardiotoxin obtained from the seeds of Strophanthus kombé . Hydrolysis gives strophanthidin, cymarose, and D -glucose. Melting point 195 °C. +31.8° (methanol). _{LD 50} 15 mg/kg (rat, iv). [CAS 560-53-2]
