...A game in which players hit a flat ball with feathers using their bare hands. It was invented in 1936 by German sports teacher Karlhans Krohn, inspired by the traditional Brazilian game "peteca." Peteca is played by hitting three large turkey feathers with a cone-shaped base filled with sand or sawdust.
