A town in Onga County facing the Hibiki Nada Sea in northern Fukuoka Prefecture. Rice is grown in the alluvial lowlands of small rivers, loquats and mandarin oranges are cultivated at the foot of the mountains, mainly in the Takakura area, and vegetables are grown on the sand dunes, but with urbanization in recent years, the number of agricultural workers and farmers has been declining.
