A town in Onga County facing the Hibiki Nada Sea in northern Fukuoka Prefecture. Rice is grown in the alluvial lowlands of small rivers, loquats and mandarin oranges are cultivated at the foot of the mountains, mainly in the Takakura area, and vegetables are grown on the sand dunes, but with urbanization in recent years, the number of agricultural workers and farmers has been declining. The town is served by the Kagoshima Main Line, and the number of commuters to Kitakyushu City has also increased. Sanri Matsubara is part of the Genkai Quasi-National Park. 48.64 ^km2 . Population: 32,119 (2010).

福岡県北部，響(ひびき)灘に面する遠賀(おんが)郡の町。小河川の沖積低地で米作，高倉地区中心に山麓でビワ，ミカンの栽培，砂丘地で野菜栽培が行われるが，近年都市化が進み，農業就業者，農家数は減少傾向にある。鹿児島本線が通じ，北九州市への通勤者も増加。三里松原は玄海国定公園に属する。48.64km²。３万2119人（2010）。
