Others discovered include spherical cyanobacteria ranging in size from 1 to 16 μm, organisms with a shape similar to iron-manganese oxidizing bacteria, and a parachute-shaped structure of about 20 μm named Kakabekia . After Kakabekia was reported as a fossil, prokaryotic microorganisms with a similar shape were found in the soil of Wales, Alaska, Iceland, Hawaii, and other places. ...
