Jaiminisutra (English spelling)

...He is considered the founder of the Mīmāṃsā school, which focuses on systematic hermeneutics of the rituals of the Vedic scriptures, and is said to be the author of the Mīmāṃsā-sūtra, the fundamental text of this school, but it is thought that it was arranged in its present form about 100 years later. This text is called the Jaimini-sūtra after Jaimini, or the Twelve Chapters because it consists of 12 chapters. A part of its teachings, beginning with "Now the search for dharma (the duties and rituals enjoined in the scriptures) begins," is introduced and criticized under the name of Jaimini in the fundamental text of the sister school, the Vedanta school, the Brahma-sūtra (completed around the first half of the 5th century), along with the teachings of several other scholars, including Bādarayana, who is said to have written the text.
