A hunting dog originating from Africa. It has been bred in the Congo region since ancient Egyptian times, and thanks to the lack of development of transportation, its purity has been well preserved. It is known as the world's only "non-barking dog," never barking except for a slight cry of joy when in ecstasy. It has a gentle and cheerful disposition. Its coat is short and smooth, and its color can be chestnut, black, or black and tan. The tips of its toes, chest, and tail are white. Males are about 35 cm tall and weigh about 10 kg, while females are slightly smaller. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
