...Industries can be broadly divided into three categories: primary industry (agriculture, forestry, and fishing), secondary industry (mining and manufacturing), and tertiary industry (commerce, transportation, and services). Of these, wastewater from the primary and secondary industries is called industrial wastewater. It is sometimes written as industrial wastewater. Wastewater from the tertiary industry is mainly from offices and stores, and is treated as domestic wastewater (wastewater from daily household life) along with wastewater from government offices and public facilities.
