Hydrophobia

…Hydrophobia is a condition in which the throat spasms when the animal tries to drink water, causing difficulty in swallowing and breathing. For this reason, rabies is also called hydrophobia. The animal then develops abnormal behavior and a "bow-like tension" due to generalized convulsions, produces sticky saliva, and suffers from paralysis of the respiratory muscles, leading to death.
