Hydrometra albolineata (English spelling)

...Water striders other than the Aquilinidae family hold the water surface with just their tarsus and move by walking or running on the surface. The water strider Hydrometra albolineata is about 13 mm long, has a very thin body, and legs the size of a hair, and walks or runs on the water surface. There are four other species in Japan, but they are mostly found in warm regions south of Kyushu.
