Wooden mold maker - Kigatashi

...Japanese cypress, cedar, teak, etc. are used, and wax is applied to the surface to make it moisture-proof. The production of these is the job of a wooden mold maker. When molding under high pressure or when casting for mass production, metal (brass, cast iron, aluminum or zinc alloy) or resin models are used, and gypsum is used for complex shapes and works of art.
