… G. Gozzano, who is considered the leader of the Twilight School poets of the early 20th century, was born in Turin and studied under Graf at the University of Turin. He captured the scenery of the Piedmont region against the backdrop of the Alps in his poems and fairy tales. Amalia Guglielminetti (1881-1941), a female writer who also studied under Graf at the University of Turin, wrote novels in the style of D'Annunzio. Other students of Graf included the poet Francesco Pastonchi (1877-1953), the novelist Massimo Bontenpelli (1878-1960), and the literary historian Enrico Thovez (1869-1925). …
