Kiyomoto Umekichi (2nd generation)

A shamisen player of Kiyomoto-bushi. His real name was Matsubara Kiyoyoshi. He was a senior disciple of Kiyomoto Umeyoshi 1. His original name was Umesaburo. He took on the name Umeyoshi in 1884. He played the standing shamisen for the 4th and 5th Enjudayu. He composed pieces such as "Michitose," "Kankane," "Sumida River," and "Seigaiha."
